Job title: Industrial Mechanical Assembler

Job description: The mechanical assembler is responsible for the installation and assembly of mechanical components for the manufacture of industrial machinery. CDS is the expert in the field of manufacturing custom machinery for the extrusion industry, the assembler will participate in the assembly and repair of the range of machines manufactured which consists of pullers, cutters and other related products.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Understand and interpret the assembly plans to be done;
  • Perform various tasks related to preparation for assembly, drilling, cutting etc.;
  • Perform mechanical assembly according to company quality standards and supervisor instructions;
  • Finish the assembly when the machine is painted;
  • Maintain the equipment and/or tools used and the work area;
  • Move parts and machines using the forklift;
  • Apply workplace health and safety rules in effect at all times;
  • Perform other related duties;

Requirements & Skills

  • DEP in Industrial Mechanics;
  • 1-3 years of experience as an industrial mechanical assembler;
  • Master reading and interpretation of CAD drawings;
  • Team work;
  • Autonomous, versatile and meticulous;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Have a tool box;
  • Bilingualism an asset;

  • Important – DEP in Industrial Mechanics;
