Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), Specialty Services (Cardiology focused) – VCA Canada Mississauga-Oakville Emergency Hospital

VCA Canada Mississauga-Oakville Emergency Hospital is growing! We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Specialty team, in our expanding Cardiology department.

The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care. You’ve worked hard for your credentialing and we want you to use that knowledge and expertise to the fullest. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:

A variety of clinical procedures including Venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, in house lab work, patient assessment, sedation and anesthesia, client education and care.

A chance to further enhance your technical skills and expertise including the use of holter monitors, ECG monitoring, fluoroscopy and assistance with pace-maker surgeries

Ability to thrive in a steady environment, remaining committed to provide the best care for our patients and clients.

Qualifications for this role:

Registered Veterinary Technician, RVT or eligible to register

Confident team player who can also work independently when required

Exceptional interpersonal skills and a positive attitude in working with your colleagues and pet parents, ; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environment
