Job description: *Primary Duties and Responsibilities* * Model the Core Capabilities to achieve service excellence, meet and exceed organizational objectives and support fiscal responsibility. * Survey the relevant market, and exhibit and market the Products; take the responsibility of the brand and it’s sub-brand planning and marketing plan in the Canadian Market including product line development and the overall sales & marketing. * Assist in development of annual quota, profit plan and sales action plan and monitor actual results vs. plan throughout the year, making adjustments when appropriate. * Target specific prospect accounts for conversion, execute sales action plans, understand account needs, develop relationships and assist in securing new business. * Prepare for business reviews and presentations, as appropriate, to management. * Assist marketing and sales management with development of marketing strategies and advertising plans as appropriate. * Recommend opportunities for increased business penetration, based on knowledge of customers and category. * Establish appropriate account contacts and maintain an effective working relationship internally and externally. * Assist team in handling inquiries, complaints and service programs working through appropriate business functions and acting as liaison with promotions, special programs, new products and other relevant activities to customers. * Attend customer meetings and trade conferences as appropriate. * Participate in the development of and/or review of cost proposals. * All other duties as assigned and requested. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled and all other qualified applicants *Education and Experience Profile* * Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline is required. * A minimum of 3-5 years work experience in consumer products industry is required with preferred 2+ years in retail field sales and direct account responsibility. * Experience working with syndicated data or category management preferred. *Required Skills* * Proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel. * Ability to manage multiple assignments. * Strong selling skills. * Strong analytical skills. (Analytical Replenishment background preferred) * Detail orientated. * Strong communication, administration and organization skills. * Problem solving ability and able to prioritize assignments. * Proven independent business judgment. * Canadian Tire, Lowes, Costco, Walmart Canada (and similar big box retailers’) experience preferred. Multinational consumer durables manufacturing company – Microwaves, Refrigerators, Wine coolers, and other Major and small appliancesIn addition to a competitive package, you will be defining the growth trajectory for the brand
