The Workflow Integration Consultant will play a key role in implementing and promoting new smart technologies and building system integration as a key liaison between the ICAT, clinical leadership, physicians, clinicians and support services.

The Workflow Integration Consultant will work collaboratively with hospital stakeholders, internal and external teams to evaluate, implement, support and maintain the leading-edge smart hospital systems, applications and integrations, and related processes for the new Mackenzie Health Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital and the existing Richmond Hill Hospital.

Contribute to safe, quality care by

  • Lead the engagement with key stakeholders across to identify and drive opportunities to maximize and promote the benefits of smart technologies
  • Lead, develop, and maintain the processes necessary to facilitate care provider access to smart technologies and workflows
  • Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of new ways of leveraging the technologies, including the development of new features, system modules, advanced integration, and workflows
  • Work in close collaboration with clinicians and other internal teams to identify, map and prioritize user experience, feedback, and projects
  • Measure, analyze and recommend opportunities to improve operational system support processes and change management
  • Facilitate adoption of process changes and the new smart systems by involving key users and stakeholders in the execution of the communication and stakeholder engagement planning
  • Provide education, training materials and process documentation
  • Stay informed of innovations and trends in healthcare

What must you have?

  • University degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in healthcare industry

What else do you bring?

  • Working experience with RTLS Systems, Building Automation Systems, Access Control, Vocera, Hillrom NPS, Cetani, Nurse Call is an asset
  • Experience working within a variety of integrated and complex healthcare systems
  • Strong prioritizing, planning, analytical, presentation, people management and interpersonal relationship building skills
  • Good understanding of risk management, privacy, e-safety, and quality assurance methodologies as they relate to integration/software engineering
  • Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
  • Able to handle unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative and creative solutions that will achieve quality, process improvements and high end-user satisfaction levels
  • Able to adopt modern information technology and systems and an enthusiastic adopter of new and novel technology solutions
  • Proven attendance record.
  • Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
