Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Research, the Research Manager will support clinical trials within Cape Breton Regional Hospital and surrounding area. These duties are focused on ensuring high-quality operations that cross several therapeutic areas while working to foster regional research development opportunities in alignment with our strategic directions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with demonstrated knowledge of academic research environment or acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience as deemed by the employer
- Demonstrated team leadership skills and knowledge of change management techniques
- Understanding of clinical trial operations and regulatory requirements
- Experience in independently managed projects and processes to support broad organizational goals
- Experience in provincial or national research applications or review processes
- Excellent organizational and process management skills with a demonstrated ability to establish and meet timelines and to work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently
- Demonstrated knowledge of various computer software programs in the areas of spreadsheets, word processing and project management
- Demonstrated knowledge of the research environment and evaluative and analytical processes
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours of Work
Permanent, Full-time position, 75 hrs bi-weekly

Salary Information
$37.1013 – $46.3765 Hourly
$72,347.54 – $90,434.18 per annum
