As an integral member of the team the hospital supervisor will provide leadership afterhours. In your role you will support the multidisciplinary team, ensuring safe, quality care for patients and a safe environment for the staff. This will be achieved through your excellent decision making, problem solving and critical thinking skills. You will provide mentoring and guidance to facilitate growth of our team. Your role will be on site support and leadership as well as on-call support for the organization.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

Academic Required:

  • Current certificate of competence as a Registered Nurse in Ontario
  • BScN or Health Care degree and/or management leadership courses.

Experience Required:

  • Management/supervisory leadership position
  • Diverse healthcare clinical background

Required Skills:

  • Ability to engage and support all hospital staff in carrying out their roles and responsibilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, decision-making, and assessment skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to build teams and manage change
  • Computer skills
  • Knowledge of collective agreements
  • Strong organizational skills

Assets:

  • Fluency in both English & French

Hours of Work: Part Time Permanent scheduled up to 24 hours a week. Must be available to work shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
