Job description: HCR Permanent Search is currently working with a top manufacturing company in Vaughan who needs to hire a Logistics Manager. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years of work experience as a Logistics Manager with a manufacturing or distribution company
- A post-secondary degree/diploma in Supply Chain or equivalent work experience
- Preference for someone with their PLog, CITT, or other Supply Chain designation
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and ERP.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures that carrier rates, services and quality are competitive to the market
- Monitors the performance of drivers and carriers.
- Approve local invoices (freight forwarders, truck maintenance, lease etc.).
- Manage truck fleet, maintenance and associated contracts.
- Manage all freight forwarders daily as it relates to regional/local issues.
