Job description: Our valued client is looking for a Snr Business Architect for a permanent opportunity in Gatineau!

Reporting to the Director, Innovation and Technology Strategy, the selected candidate will play a key role in establishing and evolving Innovation and Technology Strategy practice in a large, dynamic and growing organization. The Business Architect proactively and holistically leads and supports activities that strategically guide business and operating models, people, processes and technology. He/she helps prepare the business to become resilient and ready for strategic growth. Works closely with strategy and business leaders to create alignment between business and IT and Operational Technology (OT). The Business Architect clarifies strategic intentions, identifies business outcomes, explores implications, impacts and risks. He/she creates deliverables for business leaders that support organizational change and investments in response to disruptive forces and toward achieving targeted business outcomes. The Business Architect facilitates discussion around the construction of business models, which may include technology, business capabilities, value-streams and processes and other key business architecture deliverables. The Business Architect helps strategy and business leaders understand, apply, monetize and operationalize existing, new, and emerging technologies to transform and optimize business and operating models.

Responsibilities

• Together with Enterprise Technology Architect, enable business outcomes across Operating Businesses by propagating best practices and recommendations;
• Act as the liaison between the Corporate and Operational Business units, technology teams and vendors;
• Work on annual project consolidation cycle with business units in order to provide corporate, integrated view;
• Create technology roadmaps around business capabilities for our Operating Businesses;
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with decision-makers, system owners, and end users to analyze information needs and functional requirements;
• Develop and present detailed business cases to business and IT/OT management;
• Develop and present innovation concepts to the business;
• Research, assess and validate various technology solutions from various providers in order to document gap analysis with recommendations;
• Develop strong business relationships;
• Keep abreast of disruptive business and technology changes;
• Research, evaluate and enable new technologies and ideas to determine their potential to grow our various businesses;
• Create executive level reports that are consumable by non-IT resources;
• Facilitate communications and collaboration between our various Operating Businesses leveraging current technologies;
• Work on any enterprise-scale deliverables identified by EA architects.

Must Have Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in business analysis, architecture, finance or audit capacity;
• Experience communicating with C- Level executives
• Ability to contribute to business and IT vision and help lead towards that vision;
• Uses the language of business leaders and joins the conversation that’s taking place;
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technologies and see how they can support business needs; leverages industry research and identify recommendations;
• Strong ability to exchange information from our various Operating Businesses, document and share with the others to promote best practices and known issues;
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft 365).

Nice to Have Skills:

• Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset.
• Knowledge around SaaS and Cloud platforms is considered an asset;
• Knowledge around Request for Proposal (RFP) management and working with vendors is an asset;

Specialization and Skills: Business Analysis Business Analyst 8 – 10 years

Work Environment: Hybrid Model right now, will be required to be on site 3 times a week
