Working within Technology Infrastructure Operational Risk team, this role will provide operational risk support services to pillars within Tech Infrastructure to ensure that technology risks applicable to CNB are identified, reported, managed and monitored on an on-going basis.

This position supports operations risk management processes for City National Bank, which operates in the Pacific Time zone (EST – 3hrs), meaning that the successful incumbent from time to time will need to accommodate meetings and other activities within the Pacific Time zone.
What will you do?
Identify, assess, validate, monitor, remediate, and report on implementation and operations of technology platforms.
Conduct of periodic Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRAs) for the Technology platforms and the associated component, including Private and Public Cloud platforms.
Prepare and analyze Tech Infrastructure pillars risk profiles, recommend and oversee risk mitigation processes and communicate regular reviews to management.
Support the development of governance strategies, including Cloud, and ensure alignment with RBC and CNB standards, public & private Cloud business objectives, consistent with regulatory requirements.
Support the implementation of Cloud policy, standards, guidelines, tools, and documentation based on industry best practices and compliance requirements, for consistent execution and risk management.
Promote awareness of operational risk and establish practices to foster a culture of issue self-identification and support partners in the Risk Issue management processes to carry out their roles effectively and consistently.
Coordination with external/internal auditors, regulators and key stakeholders across the RBC and CNB.
Build and manage effective relationships with key stakeholders, team members, and other business, functional and support groups. Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure alignment of Technology Infrastructure Initiatives.
Seek industry trends and organization knowledge to understand and implement effective risk management practices.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have:
5+ years of technology domain experience in information technology, risk management or risk assurance in the financial services industry.
Knowledge of IT Risk frameworks, methodologies and industry standards related to IT and Cyber Risk management, including emerging trends and issues.
Maturity level and skill/judgment to be able to deal effectively with senior management and operational risk groups throughout the organization.
Good communication (verbal and written) skills, including strong appreciation of relationship management; sound problem solving, analytical, research, and quantitative skills.
Demonstrated expertise in a broad range of Information Security and Risk Management principles and practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
Industry recognized qualifications and certifications in Information Security and/or Risk Management (CISSP /CRISC).
