Job description: What is the opportunity?

RBC’s Institutional Client Credit Management’s Portfolio Management & Analytics (PMA) Team is looking for an Analyst (Contract) to play a key role in credit/ratings management and analysis of the RBC Investor & Treasury Services and Capital Markets trading businesses.

**This is a One Year contract opportunity**

What will you do?

  • Prepare counterparty risk analysis and propose internal risk ratings
  • Maintenance and accuracy of risk rating data
  • Update accurate and timely counterparty NAVs.
  • Undertake annual reviews and ensure their completion on a timely basis in compliance with deadlines.
  • Understand and assess risks inherent in (i) the asset management industry and its regulation, (ii) the sponsors and the markets they operate in, (iii) products and (iv) investment strategies
  • Prepare ad hoc and regular reporting.
  • Other primary responsibilities that may arise from time to time in support of risk assessment and continuous monitoring.

What do you need to succeed?

Must haves:

  • A completed Undergraduate Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with large data sets.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills- must be able to prioritize and re-prioritize tasks in order to meet competing deadlines.
  • Ability to learn RBC proprietary programs and applications.

Nice-to-have:

  • Understanding and knowledge of fund industry and securities regulations governing funds.
  • Ratings experience.
