Job title: Team Leader – Manufacturing Engineering – Methods

Job description: ● Lead the Manufacturing Engineering – Methods team including;
● Managing and assigning tasks to the Methods team including Co-op
● Prioritizing daily activities of Methods team
● Providing guidance and feedback as required
● Goal setting and identifying team workload and constraints.
● Oversee the work of the other methods team member
● Act in the technical role of Manufacturing Engineer, supporting Machine Shop requirements
● Lead problem solving and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) initiatives using various techniques such as Ishikawa, 5 Whys, etc.
● Solve complex manufacturing problems and implement robust solutions to meet quality and cost objectives.
● Identify CAPEX requirements & manage implementation.
● Participate in cost estimating for new programs, highlight constraints and opportunities for improvement based on site capabilities.
● Lead Industrialization activities including preparing manufacturing data and completing industrial validation.
● Create stage models and production drawings for manufacturing using CATIA V5.
● Manage production data in Manufacturing Engineering Data System (MEDS) and ERP system (SAP)
● Participate in concurrent engineering activities with other business groups including Design Engineering
● Monitor and Implement engineering changes in a timely manner to production
● Maintains high-level expertise in their field and keeping appraised of latest available technology.
● Ensure that manufacturing processes meet Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery requirements

Job Requirements

● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with minimum 5 years’ experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role
● Experience creating 2D and 3D CAD data (CATIA V5 Preferred)
● Experience with ERP systems (SAP Preferred)
● Knowledge of tool design and machining concepts, preferably in machining of complex parts
● Practical understanding of quality standards such as AS9100
● Personnel and Project Management skills.
● Supervisory experience preferred.
● Data analytics skills
● Attention to detail
