Job description: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Relicans are currently working remotely. Relic Entertainment is a wholly owned studio of SEGA. We are an award-winning developer of genre-defining games like Homeworld, Dawn of War, Company of Heroes, and Age of Empires. We have delivered rich, thoughtful strategy games throughout our history and our vision is to continue making games that people love to play.
The Developer Technology team is an interdisciplinary team in our Core Technology group responsible for making the technology that our other developers use to make their own work better and, in some cases, possible.
As a Programmer on our Development Technology team you you will own…
- the build and deployment frameworks
- debugging, performance profiling, and test automation infrastructure
- error reporting, logging, and development time telemetry frameworks
- code project creation, optimization, and maintenance
As a Programmer on our Development Technology team you will…
- partner with our Lead Programmer to own, and further develop, our test automation and profiling infrastructure
- become an expert with our build system and help find ways to get more builds, faster
- work with our engine teams to improve the development systems programmers use every day
- work closely with our Dev Ops and Tools teams to better integrate our Developer Technology systems
You are a great fit if you have…
- Knowledge of C++ as you will be working directly in our engine codebase
- Experience working with test automation infrastructures
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
- A passion for making developer workflows better and more powerful
- A desire to learn, share, and grow with us
It’s a bonus if you have…
- Knowledge of C# as many of our Dev Tech systems use it
- Game development experience
- Knowledge of Jenkins, WPF, Groovy, Lua, MS Build, CMake
