The Opportunity
As an Account Manager, Cyber & Technology, maintain existing book of business, recognize and actively pursue new business opportunities in the Commercial Insurance Division. We are seeking an individual with vast Commercial knowledge to jump in and join our brand-new Downtown Vancouver location in a Regular Full Time position
Our Bentall One Vancouver office is located in center of Downtown Vancouver. This location is easily accessible by sky train and near many shops, restaurants and amenities!
The Responsibilities
- Maintain of an existing book of business and taking proactive action to foresee and meet the needs of clients that is largely cyber/technology related
- Recognize and actively pursue new business opportunities
- Collaborates effectively with team to service all aspects of commercial accounts
- Attends client meetings
- Collect data from the client, create an expert submission in our Broker Management systems to be presented, identify coverage gaps and offering coverage solutions, negotiate suitable rates and coverages with company underwriters, present client proposal and bind coverage
- Prepares proposals, cover notes, customer correspondence, certificates, and invoices as per agency standards
- Processes all documentation according to HUB workflows
- Manages and collects Account Receivables
- Attends and actively participates in industry and company events/meetings
- Advises Client of provincial and international tax and licensing implications (client encouraged to seek professional accounting advice)
- Has oversight over the entire New Business and Renewal Process and is ultimately responsible for protecting HUB from E&O
- Be proactive in the claims process and work with claims team and clients to facilitate a smooth claim
The Requirements
- 5+ years of Commercial Insurance experience
- Level 2 General Insurance License
- Passion for client service
- High attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Collaborative and works well both independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Proven experience in sales process and account management
Asset experience that will make you stand out:
- You have or are working towards an industry designation, preferably (CAIB, CIP, CRM, BCIT Risk Management, etc)
