Responsibilities:

The Finance Manager will report to the Controller at our head office in Markham. They will provide hands-on leadership to our accounts receivable and invoicing processing teams, as well as actively support the preparation of the monthly financial statements. Other key responsibilities include:

• Assist with month closing tasks, review/prepare journal entries and various reconciliations accurately and on a timely manner

• Assist with preparation of consolidated financial statements and its related supporting schedules

• Review and reconcile inter-company transactions and balances, and assist with eliminations for consolidated reporting

• Coordinate and assist in financial statement and tax audits

• Supervise and provide direction and guidance to Accounts Receivable staff

• Worldwide sales tax compliance filings

• Assisting with cash management, and vendor management

• Participating in accounting process design to support new markets and service offerings

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant experience

• Chartered Professional Accountant designation

• Solid English language written, financial and visual communication skills

• Superior understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”) and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (“ASPE”)

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel

• Proven ability to reconcile accounts

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with others in a professional, influential manner

• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning software (“ERP”) in multi-currency, multi-company and multi-geography environments

• University degree with an accounting/business major

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• Experience in retail or financial services is a plus

• Effective attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy

• Effective organizational and time management skills
