About the Opportunity
- Manages the process for certain components of the Foundation’s annual budgeting (i.e. commitments, disbursements, operating expenses, capital investments) in collaboration with functional teams
- Monitors progress against the annual budget for those components and manages the quarterly forecasting process during the year
- Consolidates the budget and forecast figures for review by senior management
- Provides data to support the Foundation’s multi-year financial planning
- Identifies financial risks and opportunities and recommends solutions
- Prepares information for the Finance and Accounting materials for Board meetings and reviews financial figures included in other teams’ materials
- Analyze year-to-date results and prepare management reports for the senior leadership team and those responsible for budgets of each function, including variance analysis
- Prepares ad hoc financial analysis for internal and external purposes
- Collaborate with leaders and staff in other functions to provide financial expertise in areas including budgeting, forecasting, coding, contracting, and other financial decision-making and analysis
- Develop policies and procedures and provide training as needed
About You
- Relevant professional qualification; CPA/CA/ MBA
- Member of a relevant professional body
- Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience in a similar organization
- Experience in various aspects within financial planning and analysis including budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and a demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully with internal business partners.
- Financial and management reporting including forecasting, budgeting and the related IT systems
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to apply appropriate accounting treatments
- Experience with financial modelling
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to identify, simplify and build/improve/implement processes
