In the Emerging Technologies team, we build innovative solutions that leverage 5G and IoT. We’re customer-driven with a lot of courage to be creative. In this role you will work collaboratively with DevOps engineers and software developers to deliver multiple solutions. You will also work with our partners and hyperscalers on systems integration, software development, systems operations and automation.
You will also work with your management and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvements along the journey, aligning improvements with the DevOps architects, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and others.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a group of SREs to enable provisioning, scaling, configuration, updates and patches through automated self-serve and self-healing capabilities.
  • Ensure that the infrastructure is always available, secure, and up to date.
  • Management of the cloud environment including system monitoring, inventory, preventive and proactive maintenance, etc.
  • Management of the CI/CD pipelines and provide continuous improvement support
  • Management of different GKE, GCE, and OpenShift clusters.
  • Deploy releases, updates, and hotfixes
  • Perform post-deployment quality checks and regression testing
  • Provide Level 2 technical support (infrastructure and application)
  • Manage escalated customer tickets from customer service teams
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis RCA for production errors
  • Develop scripts and leverage tools to automate operations
  • Implement and configure alarm monitoring tools
  • Leverage the cloud provider tools as required for business excellence
  • Develop procedures for system operations and maintenance
  • Document and maintain the environment, the operation procedures, user manuals, and any supporting documents
  • Foster innovation to improve operational efficiency

What you bring:

  • Proven ability to manage telco-grade technical projects
  • Strong ability to lead squads and manage different stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, communication, and problem solving skills
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in DevOps, SRE, and agile methodologies
  • Hands on experience with Google Cloud Platform
  • Solid experience in the management of Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters
  • Experience in shell scripting, configuration and infrastructure management tools (Terraform), deployment monitoring and alarm monitoring tools
  • Exposure and familiarity with various DevOps tools and pipelines
  • Bachelor degree in computer science, engineering, or any related field
  • Certification in related technologies is always great to have
