Overview
We’re looking for a Finance Manager to join our Vancouver HQ! As our Finance Manager, you’ll be reporting to our Controller and CFO as well as working closely with our Finance, Logistics, and Marketing teams to ensure our financials meet the highest standards of integrity. You’ll be a key player in taking ownership of the accounting close process, reporting, planning & analysis while continuously improving Vessi’s systems and internal control processes.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to further their career with a fast-growing footwear startup. What You’ll Do:
- Support the month-end close process
- Assist with annual planning & forecasting cycle
- Improve accounting policies & procedures
- Implement internal control best practices
- Perform account reconciliations:
- Reconcile AR transactions across all platforms (Shopify, NetSuite, Payment Gateways and Bank Accounts)
- Reconcile accrual liabilities for purchase orders placed, shipments, and invoices received
- Prepare tax returns (both for the US and CA entities)
- Process payroll for the whole company
What We’re Looking For:
- 4+ years of experience in accounting & financial management
- Previous experience with public accounting & auditing
- CPA Designation or enrollment in a program
- Proficiency in MS Excel & strong analytical skills
- Detail-oriented & excellent organization skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Love for dreaming up and creating new systems, templates, and reports
