About this team
The Scrum Master is responsible for ensuring the product team delivers its commitments in support of driving digital experiences forward for our guests. This role works lock step with our Product Management and Engineering Teams by diligently following the scrum framework to guide the Product Manager and Business Analyst to ensure prepared backlogs that are prioritized and groomed, the team has estimated the sprint ahead, the active sprint has strong support on any impediments, and the team is able to rely on the scrum framework to guide the cadence of the product model. The Scrum Master is constantly seeking for ways to improve the team to get faster, tighter, stronger and better. A continuous improvement culture will be facilitated by this role.
The Scrum Master understands the value of the development team’s time and protects them from unplanned work and distraction. The Scrum Master works with the Product Management Team, primarily focusing on areas such as content and education, search and browse, checkout and accounts and our post purchase experience. As Scrum Master your job is to continuously flag and communicate impediments for your team by working with the Product Manager, and fellow scrum masters, while communicating a clear and concise analysis of the product team’s progress and velocity. The Scrum Master knows how to manage the team’s time and offer recommendations to the Product Manager to improve the quality of incoming features, epics, and user stories, monitor workloads, note complexities and integrations, and look ahead to strategize release planning. The Scrum Master works directly with the product managers, business analysts, product designers, lead engineers, group architects, quality assurance analysts, vendors, and analysts; plus, the Scrum Master works with fellow scrum masters, program managers, project managers, and cross-functional partners to integrate, plan the work and communicate on status..
A day in the life:
You will be responsible for maintaining a fast-paced scrum-based team that delivers updates and innovations to the digital portfolio of guest and educator facing experiences for lululemon. You will work very closely with the Digital Product Management Team and a team spread across multiple cities. You will work with other Scrum Masters and Product Managers to integrate developments with other teams, vendors, or shared resources. You will guide your product team to adhere to the scrum framework and maintain the highest standards of compliance, security, and scale.

- Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure the team’s sprint backlog is filled with comprehensive user stories that are balanced across task types
- Hold an attitude of transparency to grow trust from stakeholders, partners, and team members
- Adapt, pivot, and change direction based on product owner direction and business needs
- Convey and illustrate the fundamentals of iterative development
- Understand the basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures
- Commit the team to deliver the features of the sprint and check the pulse of this commitment at each team stand up
- Manage backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition
- Highlight best practices, industry standards and Agile principles where guidance is needed
- Radiate information that helps with the moving parts of integrating the team, the initiatives, the systems, and the organization
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of scrum master / agile project manager role and experience in eCommerce
- Experience with retail and roll-out of new technologies, hardware and applications to stores
- Experience working in an agile development including tools like JIRA, Confluence and others
- Experience managing project budgets in excess of $1M
- Strong communication skills, team management and ability to build relationships across cross-functional teams
- Digital expertise and experience
- Core understanding of mobile technologies and software development
- 2 or more years of experience managing remote teams
- Nice to have first level scrum training (Certified Scrum Master)
- Demonstrated experience of instilling a continuous improvement culture
