Our client is looking for a Manager, Finance & Investment Reporting who will provide financial and analytical insights to help drive the organization’s achievement of strategic and financial objectives. This role reports into the Controller and interacts with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. This is a exciting hybrid role with an great organization.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Manage the financial statement audit, including coordinating the provision of information to external auditors, resolving audit issues, and reviewing audit reports.
• Prepare financial statements and conduct quarterly reviews of the company’s partner financial reports
• Manage and oversee the proper recognition of financial instruments in the financial statements.
• Transform financial data into meaningful information to enhance strategic and operational decision-making.
• Working closely with the Controller, assist with the development of the corporate and departmental budget plans.
• Forecast and budget investment costs.
• Provide oversight on the analysis and interpretation of third-party financial reports related to investments to ensure information is accurate and complete
• Monitor and guide performance to identify gaps and develop appropriate solutions.
• Provide oversight and work closely with the Corporate Finance team on the execution of accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, GL’s, treasury and all matters relating to banking.

Your strengths include:

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
• Five years to ten years of experience in investment reporting or investment accounting
• At least two years of experience managing and leading an accounting team.
• Experience and working knowledge of private market valuation and cost is considered an asset.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting and financial reporting
• Strong understanding of the CPA Canada Handbook and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Familiar with corporate tax preparation and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Have critical finance thinking with the ability to analyze issues, draw correct conclusions and clearly articulate conclusions to the relevant audience.
• Ability to understand process and continuous improvement methodologies
• Knowledge and experience utilizing JD Edwards considered an asset
• Extensive accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
