Job description: Tachus LLC (“Tachus”) is seeking an outstanding individual to fill the role of Field Construction Supervisor. The ideal Field Construction Supervisor candidate should be an experienced, highly organized and energetic self-starter with a successful track record of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Field Construction Supervisor will coordinate and lead Tachus’ buried fiber optic network construction efforts. Key areas of focus will include coordination with Tachus’ external horizontal directional drilling (“HDD”) contractors, as well as reviewing Outside Plant construction designs and assisting with construction engineering. These roles and functions will evolve over time as the company grows, and Tachus is looking for a Field Construction Supervisor who will grow with the company. The position’s pay and benefits will also be highly competitive.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage construction operations to ensure project deadlines are met
• Manage construction projects to budget
• Coordinate with Inventory team to track the supply chain, to include monitoring stocks/supplies, for each project
• Provide daily progress reports/updates of construction progress
• Track and manage daily crew/equipment count and crew production
• Work with the Community Development team
• Manage contract drilling crews to construction plans
• Handle sensitive residential construction issues with residents in a professional manner

Job Qualifications:

The Field Construction Supervisor candidate should be a proven, experienced professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in aerial/underground fiber optic construction. Experience with Fiber to the Home (FTTH) construction and FlexNap cabling is a plus. In addition, the candidate should exhibit excellent leadership, organizational, time management, and communication skills. In short, we are looking for outstanding candidates.

Physical activities include, but are not limited to: climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking and lifting/pulling/pushing up to 50 pounds.
