Minimum qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of work experience including 2 years working on HR/L&D technology.
  • Experience architecting Learning & Development or HR-related tools and systems.
  • Experience working using Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with Machine Learning APIs or leveraging pre-build ML models to create engaging experiences.
  • Experience with front end (eg, HTML/CSS/JS) and backend (eg, Python, Java, Go) web/software development technologies.
  • Experience in prototyping and experimenting with novel technologies to create proofs of concepts to inform production application architecture.

Experience working with sensitive and private information to create insights.

Experience at startups or working in an entrepreneurial capacity.

About the job

In this role, you would serve as the technical leader on Learning and Development (L&D) technology projects, solving problems for the business but also influencing the future L&D technology roadmap in service of PeopleDev’s needs. This would involve deep technical architecture expertise, writing technical design documents, managing product roadmaps and ensuring projects are delivered on time and to specification.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of all technical design documentation and code review related to core applications.
  • Be responsible for contributing to the code base of production applications.
  • Be responsible for driving technical excellence in PeopleDev tools and ensuring technical best practices are followed around application architecture and design.
  • Execute forward looking projects that help drive the growth and use of Machine Learning within L&D.
  • Collaborate with partner teams across Google on technical execution, common architectural patterns and align on strategic approaches to technology execution.
