Job description: Position Description
The Department of Computer Science within the Faculty of Science invites applications for a CPSC 441 Sessional Instructor in the Winter 2023 term.
The successful candidate will have responsibilities for instruction and associated duties for this 3-unit course during the Winter 2023 Term, including the supervision and direction of teaching assistants that will teach the tutorial sections.
CPSC 441 – Computer Networks
Examination of the basic principles of the major programming language paradigms. Focus on declarative paradigms such as functional and logic programming. Data types, control expressions, loops, types of references, lazy evaluation, different interpretation principles, information hiding.
Winter 2023 Term Dates: Tuesday, January 3, 2023 – Friday, April 28, 2023
Teaching Schedule:
Lecture 01 – MWF 12:00 – 12:50
Lecture 02 – MWF 14:00 – 14:50
Qualifications: Applicants should have a minimum of an MSc in Computer Science or a closely related discipline – a PhD is preferred. Preference will be given to graduate students and postdocs in our program looking to obtain teaching experience, followed by applicants with a postgraduate degree.
