Position Overview:
At Halton Healthcare, we are re-imagining the delivery of safe, effective, and exemplary patient care, enhancing the staff and physician experience across our hospitals. Working as a key leader on the optimization phase of the interchange project (a clinical transformation supported by technology) and part of the Information, Communications & Technology team, the Project Manager will monitor and guide key areas of this transformative initiatives to achieve the goals of the project and organization.
This is what you’ll be doing:
Working under the direction of the Senior Project Manager – ICT, and Director – Health Informatics & Optimization, this position will conduct project management activities including but not limited to:
- Overseeing all elements of projects , as well as supporting implementation of all necessary processes and practices to ensure the optimization initiative is delivering the project objectives and is successfully achieving the project’s goals;
- Participating and supporting working groups/committees to support the project governance and the achievement of project deliverables and fostering successful change;
- Monitoring and reporting on project progress, issues and solutions to stakeholders and escalating issues as appropriate;
- Supporting interprofessional stakeholders through all phases of the project life cycle while simultaneously providing coaching, motivation and guidance throughout the duration of the project;
- Working with interprofessional stakeholders to analyze projects for needs assessment, system selection and/or process reengineering (including process mapping), leveraging available technology as appropriate.
- Creating and implementing change management, and project plans that maximize employee engagement, supporting smooth adoption of changes impacting employees and the organization;
- Engaging and communicating with stakeholders on an ongoing basis and ensure changing resource and project requirements are met and understood.

Halton Healthcare Services is seeking individuals who are competent in their chosen profession; patient/customer focused; are team players; effective communicators; caring and respectful and are fiscally responsible.
- At minimum, completion of a Bachelor degree in health/life sciences, engineering or business administration field/recognized equivalent. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or Certificate is required.
- Must have at least 5 years of extensive project management experience, ranging from small to large complex projects.
- The ability to understand and undertake a wide variety of projects with a broad range of focus.
- Lean/process improvement certification, with experience with process mapping events an asset.
- Someone who is self-motivated, with an ability to work independently and integrate well as a member of a variety of teams.
- Flexibility and able to enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to liaise with a broad range of individuals from clinical and professional staff to external stakeholders.
- Ability to anticipate and take timely and appropriate action to address actual or potential issues which could place project schedules at risk
- Excellent Verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze and synthesis complex contracts and other project related documents.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills with a positive outlook.
- Excellent Organizational, conceptual and strategic thinking skills and abilities.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Visio, database management, project management software.
