Department: Corporate Finance
Term: Full-Time Permanent
Work Arrangements: We are currently working remotely, and we will be moving to a hybrid model when our office renovation is complete (approximately September 2023), coming into the office a minimum of 2 days per week, every other week on designated days.
The Opportunity: The Corporate Finance team is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual that is eager to learn more about entity level financial reporting. This position will give exposure to various functions and processes within a corporate finance area, including gaining knowledge of several key accounting and banking processes in a large financial institution.
What you will do:
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial reports used by senior management and the Board of Directors
- Develop and maintain strong expense management processes including reporting and oversight
- Perform account reconciliations and provide corporate banking support
- Assist in developing and implementing process improvements
- Work closely with all members of the Corporate Finance team, including the Director and Vice President
What you will bring:
- Post-secondary education with emphasis on accounting and/or business administration
- Familiarity with general accounting concepts
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills
- Foundational problem solving, prioritizing and analytical thinking skills
- Technical knowledge of accounting systems and processes
- Intermediate to expert level skills with MS Office, particularly Excel, OneNote, and PowerPoint
