Position Overview
We’re looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Communications Specialist to drive social media communications for technology leaders in our Chief Information Office (CIO), develop exceptional written content to tell our digitization and transformation story and lead initiatives to enhance engagement in a team of technical professionals and engineers.
We are looking for an innovative thinker with a strong understanding of social media strategy and community management. You can navigate and collaborate with a broad network of stakeholders with ease; create compelling and authentic executive brand strategies aligned to our corporate and business unit objectives; and communicate with clarity, simplicity and agility.
What you’ll do
- Develop, lead and execute on social media plans, including enhancing leader profiles across multiple social platforms; managing posts, comments and engagement; and aligning with other social media teams and calendars
- Create clear, concise and articulate written content, demonstrating excellent verbal, writing and editing skills and creativity to deliver compelling and innovative storylines
- Produce and publish multimedia content, including visual and digital assets
- Help establish, monitor and report on key metrics; advise on targeting/campaign objectives; and identify new opportunities with high ROI
- Understand, analyze and simplify complex problems to tailor communications strategies and tactics accordingly
- Engage in active listening across various external channels to keep a pulse of business and industry commentary
- Demonstrate engagement and leadership through social interactions and content creation
Qualifications
What you bring
- Undergraduate degree in a related discipline is required
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a marketing, social media, and or a digital role within a fast-paced environment, either agency or client-side
- A strong understanding of social media platforms, activities and best practices, from both a creative and technical perspective
- Expertise in content optimization, including optimal video / image formats for each platform
- Excellent writing ability and mastery of English
- Experience working with and advising senior executives
- Experience drafting communications plans, presentations, training materials, toolkits and other documents
- Analytical ability to produce meaningful performance reports and track the effectiveness of communications activities
- Ability to adapt to a challenging and rapidly-evolving work environment, multi-task, juggle multiple requests, prioritize projects, and meet tight deadlines
Great-to-have
- Experience with Google Workspace
- Experience in graphic design and related platforms (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite)
