The Department of Computer Science within the Faculty of Science invites applications for a CPSC 251 Sessional Instructor in the Winter 2023 term.

The successful candidate will have responsibilities for instruction and associated duties for this 3-unit course during the Winter 2023 term, including the supervision and direction of teaching assistants that will teach the tutorial sections.

Computer Science 251 – Theoretical Foundations of Computer Science I

Proof techniques. Recursion and iteration. Specification of algorithmic problems, proofs of correctness, and bounds on their computational complexity. Discrete structures such as graphs, trees, strings, functions, and their computer representation. Counting, permutations, discrete probability spaces, random events. Applications in Computer Science.

Winter 2023 Term Dates: Tuesday, January 3, 2023 – Friday, April 28, 2023

Teaching Schedule: Lectures are: L03 MWF 10:00 – 10:50
