About this team
The People Enablement Technology (PET) team is committed to enabling seamless, best-in-class experiences for our global workforce. Employing a best-in-class strategy for the moments that matter, our team supports our fully integrated tech stack: Workday (Core HCM), Dayforce (Workforce Management, Pay Compliance, Entitlements), Avature (career site, applicant tracking & candidate relationship management), as well as Docebo (Enterprise Learning), and integrations to downstream partners for benefits administration, payroll, etc.
A day in the life
As Technology Manager, you lead the team responsible for enabling & maintaining our global pay programs for our retail, guest education, distribution & store support centers. You partner closely across PET, as well as with stakeholders in Payroll/Finance, People & Culture and Legal, to support the team in driving forward large scale digital transformation initiatives and continuous delivery enhancements to support a fast-growing, global workforce.
You are a leader who is comfortable leading and managing team members with different skill sets and can communicate expectations clearly. In addition to strong management skills, you act as a leader for the technical roadmap for your team and can communicate timeline, scope and risks to partners and stakeholders, and lead the delivery of major initiatives. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to identify and eliminate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate, and make tradeoffs and balance business needs versus technical constraints. Maturity, curiosity, creative problem solving, and team leadership are all essential for success in this role.
In addition to bringing experience enabling & supporting pay programs, you bring a passion for helping teams scale. Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Leading a team of project leads, analysts, engineers, testers, and software vendors across multiple work streams simultaneously
- Partnering effectively with global business stakeholders from ideation through delivery to support & continuous delivery phases to ensure achievement of key outcomes/measures of success and provide input on roadmap sequencing/prioritization
- Managing process, people, and timeline to ensure that high quality deliverables are produced
- Ensuring the right skills are being used to solve the right problems by supporting the team with empathetic coaching, skills development, and career path leadership
- Ensuring team produces operational & scalable solutions that meets business and technology requirements
- Leading vendor & internal teams to ensure rapid resolution of production support incidents in alignment with lululemon’s incident management policies and procedure
- Drives continuous improvement through problem management cycles to ensure resilient systems & processes to support our growing global workforce
- Provides governance / oversight to all changes deployed to production; ensuring all policies & procedures are followed and intra-team dependencies are considered

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in CS/CIS, finance, business administration, or another related field
- 8+ years of experience in information technology with direct working experience leading complex, global technology initiatives
- Demonstrated experience working with Payroll/Finance, People & Culture & Legal to implement, enhance & support key pay & compliance programs across a broad HR tech stack (Dayforce, Workday, Immedis, ADP, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience managing $2M+ technology delivery projects, including experience managing resource plans & budgets
- Familiar with key employment/labour law factors & comfortable navigating complex, confidential requirements to ensure system design supports operationalizable processes
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and listening skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills including collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation
- Strong collaboration skills to achieve business goals collectively across broad teams
