Job description: Role Impact:

The Senior Manager, Finance, International will be responsible for performing operational and financial due diligence on all international acquisitions and new investments. The incumbent will be a strategic partner to the International Investments team on complex transactions, including financial support on recapitalizations, equity raises, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions, liquidations, or dispositions. This role will coordinate Investment on-boarding and monitoring programs.

What You Will Deliver:

  • Lead the performing operational and financial due diligence on all international transactions, including acquisition of management companies, real estate portfolios and private funds across Europe, United States, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific (APAC).
  • Provide finance support on dispositions, liquidations, and/or divestures.
  • Review and provide accounting, finance, and valuation feedback on long-form legal agreements (purchase and sale agreements, partnership agreements and various management contracts).
  • Standardize and formalize procedures, questionnaires, and templates used during the due diligence process, while ensuring alignment to CF policies and compliance requirements.
  • Implement an operational due diligence program built to understand policies and controls, management capabilities and supporting systems at our respective Partners.
  • Develop and implement a risk assessment process including heat maps and on-going monitoring programs for all new investments and Partners.
  • Co-ordinate investment on-boarding procedures across Finance, Tax, Legal and Asset Management.
  • Execute due diligence and develop relationships with potential Partners, third-party service provides and regional advisors.
  • Leverage technology to enhance existing acquisition and due diligence processes.
  • Involvement in special projects and other initiatives, as required.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • CPA or CFA designation required
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a Finance position (CPA Firm and/or Industry) with exposure to complex transactions and structures
  • Transaction and due diligence experience is required
  • Real Estate experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of multiple languages is an asset
