What is the opportunity?

This Vice President Sales – Equipment Finance, achieves business results through driving sales excellence, strategic initiative and market leadership. You are responsible for the overall performance of the Equipment Finance team covering Ontario South West and Atlantic. Working in partnership with Commercial Financial Services this leader delivers the strategic business priorities of exceptional client experience, new client acquisition and market share growth.

This sales leader coaches a capable and productive team of Equipment Finance Professionals to maximize sales and business performance within operational and credit risk objectives. You have a passion for creating success for our clients, employees and communities.. As a leader you enable your team to achieve superior client experience and enhance employee capability and engagement while leveraging the full RBC capabilities.

What will you do?

  • Develop and execute a market plan which maximizes opportunities for Equipment Finance and Partners. Ensuring alignment with BFS strategies.
  • Build close alignment with CFS partners and supporting Business Financial Services key priorities.
  • Inspire and enable your team to achieve top tier business results through sales and market leadership, implementation of strategic direction and representation across the region.
  • Lead and coach your sales teams to implement strategies, processes and disciplines to deliver high quality financial advice and relationship management for clients with equipment finance needs while delivery high quality advice.
  • Conduct effective sales management routines tailored to bring value to team members, maintaining a forward looking view focusing on key behaviours and activities to move sales opportunities forward and close business.
  • Coach and influence your sales team to pro-actively grow existing relationships, acquire new clients and building client loyalty through financial advice.
  • Represent and promote the RBC brand in the marketplace by participating in bank events and the local business community.
  • Lead by example building a network of clients, external industry and business contacts to identify and generate new business opportunities.
  • Take responsibility of client problems at first point of contact engaging appropriate partners to effectively resolve the problems.
  • Enhances employee commitment and capability and client loyalty by leveraging the full RBC Financial Group capabilities, including specialized sales forces, alternate delivery channels and service partners.

What you need to succeed:

Must Have

  • Strong leadership or people management skills.
  • Sales management experience, preferably in commercial markets and /or equipment finance.
  • A demonstrated ability to leverage internal knowledge and experience of RBC partners in order to build customer loyalty.
  • A demonstrated ability to prioritize for impact, deliver outstanding results through collaboration, impact and influence and partnering.
  • Proven ability to source, develop and promote talent in an inclusive and diverse team.
  • Proven experience in winning business in a highly diverse and competitive environment.
  • Commercial banking and account management.
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead remotely.
