Job title: Civil Project Coordinator (residential construction)

Job description: Seymour Pacific Developments Ltd. is a national leader in land development and residential construction, and we are seeking a Civil Project Coordinator to join our team in Winnipeg, MB. The role is responsible for monitoring residential civil construction activities in support of multi-family projects throughout Western Canada. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of earthworks, deep utilities and surveying.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the technical review of detailed design plans, contract documents and technical specifications
  • Produce regular reports on the progress of projects
  • Prepare budgets for in-house performed jobs and review quotes/invoices
  • Oversee and coordinate request for information (RFI) processes
  • Track and coordinate on-site civil staff and trades to ensure that specifications are met
  • Liaise with civil site staff on a continuous basis to ensure quality standards and progress
  • Resolve any risks and issues which occur throughout the project lifecycle
  • Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor civil projects
  • Keep the project coordination team informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations, occupancy, trade or construction delays
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS

  • Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Project Management or equivalent an asset
  • Minimum 5 years of on-site residential civil construction experience
  • Previous field experience in excavation, earthworks, and underground utility construction
  • Understanding of survey and layout
  • Proficiency in MS Office and construction management software
  • Understanding of methodology and terminology in the civil construction industry
  • Solid attention to detail with the ability to be a problem solver
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and reasoning
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet established deadlines
  • Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
  • Proven ability to read civil plans and other construction drawings
