Education Experience Producer

Job Overview

Job title: Education Experience Producer

Job description: Education Production at Proforo

Do you see possibilities where others complain about what’s wrong? We’re looking for an education producer who has a knack for understanding and synthesizing solutions across diverse markets. You need to be able to roll up your sleeves and make big contributions in an early stage company environment.

In this role, you will have to empathize the pain points people face when considering purchasing and other life decisions. Your goal will be to deeply research specific consumer decisions that our leadership team has identified and synthesize an educational experience that successfully informs and excites users into action.

You will collaborate with leadership, design, and development teams to bring products from your drawing board to the market. While guiding the creation of an educational experience by a subject matter expert, you must be ready to step in and contribute to educational materials to fill any gaps. You will be in a key position to manage the production of business-critical products and make adjustments based on research, new constraints, and results.

Your impact

In this position, you will work closely with the founders to accomplish business-critical goals:

  • Research and assess a variety of education markets to determine user problems, pain points, and potential solutions.
  • Assist in the sourcing and recruitment of top-tier instructional talent to contribute to the creation of our education products.
  • Lead the product direction of our short-form courses by developing curriculum skeletons and determining the scope of learning outcomes.
  • Guide our instructors, video producers, designers, and copywriters to create the best possible products.
  • Write production-ready scripts based on research and interaction with subject matter experts.
  • Create course materials to support the learning and marketing goals of the educational experience.
  • Uphold a high standard of quality and provide critical feedback to the instruction and content production team.
  • Implement and monitor feedback from live products to ensure quality continues to improve and net promoter scores incrementally increase.

Requirements

What you bring

Some skills and experience will benefit your application for this role, including:

  • Work experience in the training or education space that’s given you the attention to detail to know what makes a course good or bad.
  • Coordination experience working with subject matter experts and production staff to create learning materials.
  • Full launch lifecycle experience bringing an educational product to market, whether it is a course you created yourself or a new program for an educational institution.
  • Competence to break down large problems into addressable tasks and organizing yourself and others to accomplish them.
  • Confidence in your ability to separate the best-in-class instructors from the rest.
  • Market research skill that allows you to quickly understand the existing landscape of products — their strengths, weaknesses, and competitive positioning.
  • Demonstrable ability to readily pick up new subjects and quickly contribute to the decision-making process with subject matter experts.
  • Comfortable being a second set of hands for subject matter experts. You can step in to help fill in gaps and enhance learning materials with ease.
  • Any hands-on experience creating visually-appealing presentations is a plus.
  • Previous experience producing video content is highly valued.

Benefits

What We Offer

  • Flat organizational structure. You’ll work directly with the founders of the company and will always have the opportunity to test and prove ideas you believe in.
  • Employee stock option plan. Within the next 6 months we intend to establish our stock option plan and other financial perks like device and workspace budgets.
  • Full employee benefits. Following a probationary period, you will have access to health benefits.
  • Flexible work schedule. Our team is spread out across the country and works at varying hours depending on their preferences and their time zone.
  • No vacation limits. Keep up with what’s on your plate and we won’t stop you from taking time off!
  • Choose where you work. Our team is currently fully remote, but we will likely have a combination office/studio somewhere in Toronto within the next year. Once we acquire a space, we’ll be a hybrid of remote and in-person work.
