Permacon, a CRH Company, is a leader and pioneer in the manufacturing of concrete masonry and landscaping products. Permacon is a division of Oldcastle® Architectural and operates 9 plants in Ontario and Quebec.

We are currently looking for an Industrial Mechanic at our Cambridge site.

The incumbent will be mainly responsible for the reliability and good functioning of machines, equipment and systems. More specifically, he or she will be a self-starter, troubleshoot, repair, adjust, program and lead the preventative maintenance on mechanical components under his or her responsibility. The incumbent will also be involved in parts inventory, lead mechanical shutdowns, reporting, record keeping, housekeeping, and safety improvements.

Requirements

• Certified Industrial Mechanic or Millwright
• CWB (Canadian welding Board) member will be an asset
• Technical or College Diploma in Industrial mechanic
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in industrial mechanic
• Safety oriented
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Demonstrated skills in industrial mechanic (hydraulic and pneumatic), electrical and welding
