Job Description:

• Plan and perform various operations involved in the grinding, polishing and deburring of parts. This role may perform all types of operations such as hand tapping, hand reaming, deburring, stamping/etching identifications and blending/polishing on one or more planes, contours and surfaces. May work on ferrous and non-ferrous materials and their alloys in the form of castings, billets, forgings, extrusions, plates, bars and tubes, machine parts, fiber and plastics.

Job Description

• Plan the sequence of deburring, marking and blending operations to obtain required finishes and tolerances
• Review blueprints/drawings to shop order and material to ensure correctness; set up all equipment necessary to perform job. Tools used may include belt sanders, disc grinders, polishing equipment, hand and bench machines, cutting tools/abrasives.
• Verify conformance to blueprints/instructions.
• Other duties as assigned
