The Strategic Investments teams primary focus will be on leading and managing the technology implementations to support the capital expansion projects such as a new plant/site or line upgrades in the current McCain global landscape as well as mergers, acquisitions, and divestiture.
The Delivery Lead will understand the project requirements and will collaborate with the Build and Delivery team, regional teams, other technology partners, subject matter experts, and solution architects on defining the optimal approach and plan to deliver the desired business capabilities and ensuring the implementation/deployment is complete, scalable and risk are mitigated. The Delivery lead will collaborate with the System integration partner and drive accountability for the desired solution results.
An overview of the Delivery Lead’s duties will be to perform system requirement analysis, provide and work on functional and technical analysis, provide guidance and understanding of the user stories and to promote the global template standards with exceptions for Legal and Regulatory requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external stakeholders to reassess and amend the scope of work requirements, budget, and timeline
- Guide and review the quality of project deliverables and ensure proper use of McCain’s project management methodology, standards, tools, processes, and procedures
- Manage technical planning and coordination between development teams and business needs. Coordinate verification and validation of requirements, field questions on global design, and provide analysis of functional requirements and use cases into technical design specifications
- Review of business processes and corresponding mapping into IT architecture, create/review documents of business requirements, analyze the requirements for regional/global development needs or integration requirements
- Provide inputs and recommendations in the technological architecture design based on process requirements, application, and system landscape. May also recommend improvements in the existing business processes and define regional/global roles for executions
- Map and validate performance indicators after deployments and provide an advisory role in developing a business continuity plan for regions/sites
- Support implementation phase and assist with the development of project requirements, scope, and acceptance testing
- Generate business cases and assists in defining project benefits/costs, and participates in project reviews
- Clearly define and manage template scope and ensure that the template scope is appropriately reflecting the needs of respective business units (plants, warehouses, sales offices, etc.)
- Understand and promote global template standards to ensure the intended 80-85% level of standardization of processes and data
- Facilitate the development and Implementation of key processes to drive efficiency and standardization across purchasing globally. Facilitate the development of Detailed Feasibility Studies (DFS) for proposed initiatives including cost of proposed systems and supporting business justification
- Assist in evaluation and selection of new software solutions and focus on standard “out of the box” functionality and minimize customization
- Creating/writing tests scripts and working with users to ensure proper system testing
- Monitor status of business readiness activities, including training, to support local deployments during deployment of new solutions or enhancements
KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline (Master’s Degree in Business is an asset)
- 10 years’ experience in end to end SAP project implementation preferred
- Hands-on experience in SAP ECC – FI, CO and COPA with a strong functional background in SAP Product Costing processes is required
- Must have a record of having been part SAP global systems implementation project, template development, deployment and roll out initiatives, demonstrating an ability to influence the business to achieve rapid step-change in results
- 10 years’ experience in end to end SAP project implementation preferred
- Strong leadership, relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Delivery acumen and report to regional/global leaders on program performance
- Proven experience as a stream lead working with multi-disciplined, matrixed global teams and multi-cultural transformations
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Consumer goods industry experience will be an asset
