Tax – Technology Enablement and Innovation group (TE&I) is looking for co-op students who will enable us to transform tax services. We are looking for creative, out-of-the box candidates who like to be part of a team reimagining business processes within the Tax function at EY. You will be part of a team that analyzes business problems then applies the best solution for the applicable business challenge in order to help tax professionals drive operational efficiencies through innovative solutions and go to market with competitive offerings. You will engage very closely with various business teams in the Tax Service Line to understand their processes in depth and come up with alternative simpler and more effective business processes. You will also be collaborating with various local & global technical teams at different stages of the Application Solutioning Lifecycle. You have an entrepreneurial mindset but are comfortable in working with large global organizational set ups.

During your work term, your potential responsibilities may include:
- Gather and evaluate business user requirements from SMEs to understand current state and outline future state
- Brainstorm multiple iterations of new business processes and draw them out in tools such as Visio; build out business/systems/data architecture maps
- Determine project scope & objectives from executives and develop project plans; manage software project delivery through completion
- Monitor progress, manage risks & issues, prepare project documentation and summary reports as needed on a regular basis
- Lead daily stand-up calls with the development and data team to build-out technology solutions
- Collaborate with all stakeholders to identify and clear bottlenecks as needed
- Track and report relevant KPI’s like Sprint Burndown and Velocity to key stakeholders
- Support any UAT testing, including developing UAT test scenarios, as required
- As required perform scripting or programming on team projects
- Work with the team on data projects leveraging different tools and approaches
- Interface with internal clients and team members to secure tax data
Qualifications:
To qualify, candidates must:
- Be in pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering, IT, Business or relevant field
- Have advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Have advanced Excel, Visio and PowerPoint skills. Also, strong knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite.
