Job description: The job of an Additive Manufacturing Field Technician will involve using your technical expertise, troubleshooting abilities, and organization skills, all while showcasing a helpful and friendly level of customer support and service. This position does require travel to and from customer sites. Training will be conducted in the US.

This will apply for Stratasys, Xact Metal, and other 3D printing technologies that may be acquired in the future. Certifications will start with Stratasys technology and may have a focus on one or more of the others listed as needed. You will be responsible for interfacing with our clients or prospective customers by phone, email, or in person to clearly convey the information required for their solution or perform service required on their 3D printing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining, repairing, and operating Additive 3D printers at customer sites and GoEngineer Offices.
  • Record accurate and timely communication of service activity to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Provide technical support in person, on the phone, and by email to our current customer base.
  • Maintain, ship, and receive consumable items for our Stratasys customer base.
  • Be responsible for set-up and training at new customer sites and on-site a GoE Offices
  • Aid sales staff during sales presentations/demonstrations
  • Work within GoEngineer, in the spirit of continuous improvement, of our products and services.
  • Perform all duties required by your supervisor that pertain to being a Field Technician/Engineer but may not be listed above.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License in good standing with clean record and reliable vehicle that will allow for driving between customer sites and GoEngineer Offices
  • Valid passport for international travel/training
  • Must be available for various Technical Training, Installation Training, and Repair Training which will require travel to another province
  • Must be willing to learn and grow beyond training to better understand and serve our customer’s needs.
  • Experience working in a customer relationship atmosphere. Ability to work well with people – in understanding and resolving problems. Comfortable with conflict resolution as well with dealing with customers who are upset over equipment issues.
  • Will need to work independently with little supervision when out in field.
  • COVID 19 vaccine required
  • Position will be fast-paced, so organization of schedule, equipment, processes will need to be observed/enforced at all times.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of an organization, external suppliers, and vendors.
  • Perform overtime as required, with or without prior notification.
  • Position will involve travel to other GoEngineer regions (potential for 75%+ travel within GoEngineer network of states).
  • Effective verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
  • Basic Office/Computer Skills: MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Prior experience with NetSuite CRM tool a plus.

Special Demands for This Position

  • Manual dexterity as required to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Able to work with and around various electrical voltages
  • Must be capable of operating in different environments.
  • Able to accept constructive criticism and be a team player!
