We are looking for a Analyst, Group Customer Finance

What you will do

• Primarily responsible for creating the updates to various internal financial reports that will need to align with the IFRS17 accounting standards
• Perform various testing to ensure financial results are as expected during comparative runs
• Participate in the reconciliations of general ledger accounts that are associated with Group Customer Finance
• Address any issues that may arise during testing and reconciliation processes as well as assist in solutions for noted issues
• Prepare monthly and quarterly accounting entries via journal vouchers
• Support the quarterly reporting of Group Life and Health premiums and administrative fees during comparative runs and go-live

What you will bring

• Required education – education/skills acquired at a post secondary level or equivalent eg. One year Community College certificate.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with basic knowledge of accounting
• High attention to detail and accuracy required
• Strong technical skills in Microsoft office (Excel and Outlook) with intermediate to advanced skills Excel (vlookups and pivot tables are a must)
• Well orgranized and effective time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while managing deadlines
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication skills both orally and written. It is important incumbent responds to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of Group Insurance and SAP would be an asset
