We are looking for a Analyst, Group Customer Finance
What you will do
- Primarily responsible for creating the updates to various internal financial reports that will need to align with the IFRS17 accounting standards
- Perform various testing to ensure financial results are as expected during comparative runs
- Participate in the reconciliations of general ledger accounts that are associated with Group Customer Finance
- Address any issues that may arise during testing and reconciliation processes as well as assist in solutions for noted issues
- Prepare monthly and quarterly accounting entries via journal vouchers
- Support the quarterly reporting of Group Life and Health premiums and administrative fees during comparative runs and go-live
What you will bring
- Required education – education/skills acquired at a post secondary level or equivalent eg. One year Community College certificate.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with basic knowledge of accounting
- High attention to detail and accuracy required
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft office (Excel and Outlook) with intermediate to advanced skills Excel (vlookups and pivot tables are a must)
- Well orgranized and effective time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while managing deadlines
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication skills both orally and written. It is important incumbent responds to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of Group Insurance and SAP would be an asset
