Job description: One of our clients in the Automotive industry located in Pointe Claire PQ are in need for a Bilingual Financial Analyst.

You will be responsible for the preparation of analyses and reports. Part of your responsibilities will support the annual budget process, expenses and or staffing forecasts or statistical reporting.

• HYBRID ROLE: May work remotely but should be local to Quebec to go into office 1-2 times a week or as needed.
• Monday to Friday
• 8am to 5pm
• Year contract

Responsibilities:

• Organize, coordinate, and participate financial cycles (3YP, Budget, Forecasts, monthly/quarterly closing and reporting) at Unit/Location level.
• Own periodic and timely reported financial information (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow…), as well as operational indicators (Orders, Backlog, Commercial KPI’s, Headcount…) for a clear Monthly Operation Review of regional results.
• Own planning, reporting and performance of cost and run related closing activities (cost allocation cycles, accruals).
• Execute variance analysis for cost items (Labor and OH recovery, COA, PPV), identify root causes and follow-up corrective/preventive actions with operations.
• Participate variance analysis of balance sheet items within scope (Inventory, AR, provisions). Ensure clean/clear BS positions on a quarterly basis.
• Ensure accurate and timely data availability as well as in depth data analysis.
• Act as business partner for operations on financial matters.
• Ensure adequate internal controls are implemented and maintained within NAM SER business. Support controllership activities, (Account recs., DRs) as well as statutory and internal audits.
• Any other duties as required by line manager.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Min 5 years of experience in a similar financial position in an industrial project or manufacturing environment.
• Extensive knowledge of GE business operations is a strong preferred asset.
• SAP (FI, CO, SD, PS and MM modules) knowledge is a strong preferred asset.
• PC proficiency … strong MS Excel & PowerPoint skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• BILINGUAL Preferred, but must speak FRENCH.
