Responsibilities
The Analytics Lead for Capital Medical Equipment Planning is designated to serve as an expert on managing and analyzing data that supports decision-making for capital medical equipment planning by using data to generate insight that enables evidence-based and risk-based recommendations. This is accomplished by combining a fundamental understanding of data analytics, combined with knowledge on the principles of healthcare technology management and fiscal responsibility. The Analytics Lead for Capital Medical Equipment Planning will be expected to work with large volumes of data and develop strategies for data collection, aggregation, visualization, and interpretation that serve as a platform to support capital equipment planning decisions. The Analytics Lead will develop key performance indicators and benchmarks for the Capital Medical Equipment program. As part of this role, the Analytics Lead will work towards developing strategies to support fleet replacement models and asset management. To develop these strategies, they will be expected to understand and stay informed of industry best practice for fleet management in healthcare and they will be expected to collaborate closely with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders across the organization.
Qualifications
Required Minimum
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mathematics or Computer Science
- 3-5 years of experience in the Healthcare Industry
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.
- Highly developed data analytics skills and experience in working with large volumes of complex information
- Experience in the concepts of risk management and prioritization
- Excellent critical and analytical thinking with practice in evidence-based collaborative problem solving
- Broad knowledge of applicable standards and guidelines for medical device management
- Demonstrated experience in financial stewardship, financial decision-making and return on investments
- Demonstrated knowledge of Lean or related process improvement principles
- Project Management and change management certification would be considered an asset
- Organizational skills, high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to utilize current computer applications (Microsoft Office, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships and interact with others
- Ability to simplify difficult issues or complex scenarios and relay to non-technical clients
- Uses effective leadership, facilitation, communication, and negotiation abilities to achieve consensus, resolve conflict, achieve desired outcomes, and address potential barriers to success
- Demonstrated ability to create and execute plans and ensure timelines are met while working with a variety of stakeholders
- Exercise initiative, self-direction and problem-solving abilities to identity gaps and opportunities for improvement
Considered an Asset
- Master’s degree would be an asset
- Clinical Engineering certification would be considered an asset
- Certificate in Data Science would be considered an asset
- Experience with Tableau would be considered an asset; ability to learn Tableau platform upon hiring would be required

Salary Information
$34.75 – $43.44 hourly – BAND 9R
