Position Summary
The role of the Application Delivery and Support Specialist is to support the integration, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of clinical and business systems through the application of information technology.
This role will also act as a support liaison in clinical and non-clinical applications, interfaces and databases, to enable programming software to modify interfaces and enhance software functionality.
The Application Delivery and Support Specialist is responsible for providing operational support to our internal and external customers using Hospital Information System and other hosted applications. This includes the administration of key administrative applications and uses the Help Desk work order system to follow up on problems with those applications and to meet operational service level commitments on all systems under the responsibility of the IT Services department and with guidance and direction from the IT Management.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Application Support, Programming and Administration,
- Implementation, updating and application administration for OSMH and regional partner applications
- Delivery and configuration of client applications (Setup packages, browser configuration, group policy, system center)
- Design and maintain of Active Directory objects (users, groups and OU) in support of application authentication and authorization
- Microsoft 365 Administration and Support
- Exchange Administration and Support
- Microsoft Bookings, Forms and PowerApps knowledge and Support
- Citrix ADC Administrator
- Web server administration and Support (IIS, Apache, Tomcat)
- SSL Certificate administration
- Scripting and Development
- Content and Document Management Administrator (SharePoint, ONEDRIVE, TEAMS, and Citrix Share files)
- Strong understanding of client server applications with experience in SQL databases
- Experience with virtualization an asset (VMWare, Hyper-V)
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
General IT Responsibilities:
- Is available after hours for urgent requests and outages.
- Other duties as may be requested by the Manager of Information Technology, Director of Information Technology, or the Senior Team.
- Promotes a work environment that fosters team work, collaboration and responsibility.
- Attend external vendor and internal customer meetings.
- Be an active member in Change Request Committee
The successful candidate is expected to be a part of the on-call rotation for this role.
Qualifications
Education:
- Post-Secondary education in Information Technology Studies required
- Certification in ITIL
Experience:
- Minimum five (5) years previous IT application experience in a corporate or health care setting is required
- Experience in planning, implementation and operation of information technology system projects
- Previous experience in application support and deployment preferred.
- Previous development and database administration
- Previous experience with: Active Directory, Group Policy, SQL (T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS) JavaScript, .Net (Web and Desktop), SharePoint, IIS
- Previous experience with Cerner, Meditech or other EMR systems preferred
- Experience in service desk and support of information systems
- Must have a general knowledge of various networks, software applications and computer hardware, operating systems, and user interfaces
- Previous customer service experience preferred

- Ability to co-ordinate activities of other IT staff and subject matter experts for implementation and operation of information systems
