The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders including business partners in risk management & financial engineering, business analyst, architecture, and infrastructure and support to understand business requirements and drive the analysis, design and development of quality technical solutions.

  • Development and support of Credit risk systems used for risk calculations and monitoring
  • Responsible for the effective design, development, and delivery of high availability & reliability end to end solutions to meet business need. Ensure that delivery meets the integrity, quality, performance, and reliability requirements following best practices and standards.
  • Working with project team on delivering roadmap and partners with business line representatives to drive improved technology solutions that support business strategy.
  • Acts as the Subject Matter Expert/Mentor and holds overall accountability for technical requirement review and the implementation of projects involving integration.
  • Guide developers through technical issues and challenges including frontend and backend.
  • Conduct proof of concept on new technologies or solutions as required.
  • To coordinate infrastructure needs for the applications, assist actively with documentational requirements covering architecture, security, and operational readiness.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

Must have:

  • 7+ years of strong development experience in Django, Kafka/Elasticsearch stacks and Python with knowledge of at least one Python web framework (Flask preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience working with fluency on Linux environment with Linux command line, and shell script
  • Proficiency with DevOps tools and methodologies based off bitbucket/Git, Maven and Jenkins
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong problem-solving skills. Willingness to own existing code and improve it if necessary.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns, micro services architecture and high performance, and multi-threading techniques
  • Has work in agile environment

Preferred:

  • Credit risk or financial risk experience is a nice to have
  • Previously work as Lead Developer or a Technical Lead
  • Experience with multithreading.
  • Exposure to Apache Airflow, docker would be an added plus.
  • A good knowledge of capital markets and financial instruments
  • Understanding of cloud-based deployment
  • Worked with Algorithmics Risk watch or equivalent Risk Generation tools (nice to have)
