Job title: Associate Analyst, Finance Shared Services
Job description: We are currently seeking an Associate Analyst within our Finance Shared Services Center of Excellence (COE) Team in Saint John, New Brunswick. Finance Shared Services supports numerous JDI companies on their transactional processes including Accounts Receivable, Credit, Accounts Payable, Vendor Maintenance, Treasury, and Client Services.
The COE team supports continuous improvement initiatives, creates ad hoc reporting, provides data for Finance Shared Services KPI tracking, and creates automated daily reporting to the Shared Services departments and J.D. Irving, Limited (JDI) companies we support.
As an Associate Analyst you will learn about the businesses shared services supports and the functions each department is responsible for, learn how to gather and interpret business requirements, learn the systems and technical tools we use, maintain existing visualizations, and data workflows. The COE has a structured career path providing the experience you need to develop into either a Business Analyst or Data Analyst. Our Business Analysts work with Finance Shared Services to design solutions that meet their needs. Our Data Analysts have a strong technical skillset to turn a solution design into a working solution.
Requirements
- Recent post-secondary graduate, with a business/finance/commerce concentration
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- A curious and innovative mindset
- Basic understanding of accounting fundamentals
- Enjoys continuous learning
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a diverse team
Assets
- Experience in computer science or strong math background
- Experience with data tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, Cogno
