Job description: Are you Bilingual (written and verbal) in both French & English?

Do you have solid experience selling into the industrial manufacturing sector?

Do you have experience with Material Handling Equipment?

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the Material Handling, specifically conveyor equipment. Be able to bring to the table existing clients and a “Book of Business” to add to the customer base that will be assigned to them. They will be able to prospect, engage, quote, and close a wide variety of customers. They must be conversant with current, emerging, and varied technology / solutions present in the industry today.

Under the general direction of the Sales and Marketing Manager, the Technical Sales Representative will work independently and with the Sales team and is responsible for driving revenue growth. This will be accomplished through the execution of the company’s current sales plan focusing on relationship building, business development and account management. Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Establish and maintain a strong, professional client relationship with all current and new customers’ accounts.
  • Expand existing customer base by promoting and selling all existing and or new products / services. Strive to build long-lasting business relationships that are beneficial to the customer and profitable to our business.
  • Participate in development of new markets with current customers and through scheduled strategic prospecting activities.
  • Provide innovative material handling, conveying and custom solutions to all customers by evaluating their individual needs.
  • Proactively pursue project opportunities with customers.
  • Be proactive and accountable for deadlines and job requirements to ensure projects are executed on time and professionally.
  • Participate in setting personal and department sales objectives through measurement of KPI’s and other metrics for their assigned customers and or territories.
  • Take ownership of and achieve annual sales targets.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Manager to create a successful company sales and marketing approach to build a strong client base within their customers and region.
  • Assist Inside Sales to generate quotations, sales reports, compile engineering data and respond to project inquires.
  • Participate in trade/professional shows and conferences as required to promote Company, its products and sales partners.
  • Build and maintain a customer data base within the CRM function for all departments use.
  • Act in accordance with / be directed by all Company and Department SOP’s.
  • Document all customer applicable correspondence and interaction including accurate and up to date contact information within the designated CRM functions.
  • Travel in general is an aspect of this position and is expected to allow for performance of your job function. This travel will be for the most part be within Quebec. On occasion travel outside of Quebec may be required therefore it is necessary to have or be able to obtain a valid passport.
  • Valid driving licence with a satisfactory driving record is required. Bondable.
  • Interact with all Company departments in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Act in accordance with Safety and Management systems.
  • Ensure the work environment is always safe.
  • Perform other duties outside the normal scope of their daily tasks for the betterment of the company.
