POSITION OVERVIEW

As part of the production team, the Brake Press Operator assists in meeting manufacturing commitments. Physical labour, problem solving, and teamwork are essential functions of this position.

Functions required of a person to perform this position:

· Ability to do shift work – 8 to 10-hour shifts

·Willing to work overtime as required

·Must adhere to safety and process requirements

·Appreciation for quality

EDUCATION

·Minimum of Grade 12 Diploma or Manufacturing Experience

EXPERIENCE

• Must be able to read drawings and determine the tooling required and sequence for forming the part.
• Must be able to set up a hydraulic brake press.
• Must be able to measure parts to verify accuracy using calibrated scales and verniers.
• Must understand and practice lock-out tag-out procedures.
