Job title: Branch Technology Specialist

Job description: What is the opportunity?

The flagship branch at the top of Royal Bank Plaza, the 39th floor office along with the 25th floor office of RBC Dominion Securities is looking to hire a Branch Technology Specialist to assist established Advisory teams, Branch Management team and Branch Operations group on daily basis.

What will you do?
– System Access: Manage and coordinate system access requests (new, change, remove), new employee onboarding/training, complete yearly control and application risk audit attestations.
– Identify computer hardware, software and telecommunication malfunctions and take action to resolve issues
– Technical Support: Liaise with back office to investigate application and technical support issues, provide timely updates to users, following up until resolved, escalating when necessary.
– Hardware Support: Ensure hardware in the branch (monitors, desktops/laptops, phones, printers, etc.) are kept in working condition and replaced when necessary.
– System and Application Upgrades: Assist with project implementation of application rollouts, conduct training and provide support while giving feedback to head office.
– Training: Delivering training for the usage of technology within the branch
– Reporting: Review daily and various compliance-related operational reports and projects for errors and/or issues and investigate/escalate accordingly.
– Communication: Participate in monthly technology conference calls and quarterly operation/admin meetings, sharing ideas and providing feedback.
– Administration: Provide administration, maintenance, optimization and technical support for end users. Handles and investigates all tech related charges for the branch.

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
– Strong oral and written communication skills
– Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask
– Must be familiar with Windows Operating System, Remote Access and Printers
– Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products, IP Telephone and Basic Network Troubleshooting
– Professionalism and ability to manage highly confidential information
– Exceptional attention to detail and mature/positive attitude
– Excellent people skills, ability to manage different personalities

Nice-to-have
– Post-secondary education
– Previous experience in technical support or similar role
– Familiarity with DS applications (past experience in RBC DS)
