About the Role
Broker Payables Coordinator
Full-time
Somerville, NB

Responsible for the integrity of the Broker Payables system. Coordinating broker reimbursements and charges.

How You’ll Help

  • Ensuring data in the Broker Payables system is updated at all times and filing information
  • Validating information provided by compliance for broker/ unit set up and contract assignment, based on internal criteria
  • Set up banking for direct deposit for brokers and validate all accounts payable banking request
  • Maintain inboxes (fuel, askbrokerpay)
  • Communicating with brokers on a daily basis, reviewing and validating broker pay, and answering questions about pay statements.
  • Coordinating broker deductions and reimbursements before each close.
  • Complete period end statement settlements.
  • Prepare send out paper broker pay statements and electronic.
  • Reconciliation of broker gl’s which includes maintenance and hold back funds
  • Ensuring broker terminations are accurate and processed timely
  • Guaranteeing fuel data is uploaded processed timely
  • Set up WCB charges and process special deposit request based on circumstances

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting or business administration. (considered an asset)
  • A suitable combination of education and/or experience may be considered
  • Minimum of one year experience in accounts payable or another computerized accounting function in a fast paced environment, preferably in the transportation industry.
  • A suitable combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Experience in AS400 an asset.
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office , specifically excel
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, particularly with numbers
  • Understanding of accounting gl’s and taxes is considered an asset
  • Detail orientated with the ability to work accurately in a high volume, fast paced environment.
  • English (verbal/written/spoken) required; French or other languages are an asset
