Take your ambitions to the next level

You will be called upon to participate in the development of operational plans for the business sectors and the targeted business architecture for the wealth management and life and health insurance sectors. Your main focus will be on defining the architecture components and the business solutions to be implemented. This architecture will have to optimize the value streams and business capacities to better respond to the company’s strategic ambitions in terms of the current shift, digital transformation, profitability, and growth.

  • Obtain and master business directions and other inputs essential to the realization of the business architecture;
  • Establish detailed directions and document them in terms of statements and templates, and align them with those defined by the IT architecture consultants;
  • Produce business architecture deliverables, primarily those related to the definition of new and existing capabilities and processes;
  • Propose realistic and cost-effective solutions aimed at modernizing the organization’s business model;
  • Feed and validate data architectures;
  • Contribute to the alignment of program priorities and directions with other organizational initiatives, including enterprise architecture;
  • Contribute to the development of application modernization scenarios;
  • Establish and document scenarios for the transition of current processes to the defined targets;
  • Contribute to the elaboration of roadmaps promoting the value delivery and taking into account other ongoing or planned projects;
  • Act in close collaboration with IT architecture consultants, business analysts, and business experts in defining the solution;
  • Participate in the quality control activities of the deliverables related to the business architecture;
  • Ensure knowledge sustainability of the business architecture or solution through appropriate documentation and communication, and write business cases as required;
  • Present the results of your work to your peers and strategic advisors;
  • Replace or support Business Architecture Consultants assigned to maintain current business architectures as needed.

Does this sound like you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline;
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience in business architecture within programs or projects;
  • Knowledge of the life and health insurance or wealth management industry;
  • Experience with at least one solution implementation program or project using at least one industry software package;
  • Knowledge of business architecture principles and practices, as documented in the BIZBOK;
  • Excellent ability to work with multiple stakeholders (strategic advisor, enterprise architect, business, and IT experts) in a complex organizational environment involving interventions at multiple sites (Quebec City, Lévis, Montreal), and telecommuting;
  • Experience with an architecture repository;
  • Fluency in spoken and written French;
  • Communication with teams in French and English. Level expected:
  • French: 4/4
  • English: 3/4
