Here is what you will do

VitalAire is currently recruiting an energetic and motivated full-time Logistics Manager to oversee British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for supervising the movement distribution and storage of hazmat cylinders and medical devices. This position will also be tasked with planning routes, analyzing budgets, and processing shipments/orders.

  • Manages and optimizes Drivers
  • Implements and improves supply structures while adjusting supply levels.
  • Supervises the planning and coordination of the distribution of cylinders.
  • Analyzes demand and allocates materials/products accordingly.
  • Prepares and manages cost analysis reports while contributing to the preparation of budgets.
  • Review capacity and demand with Drivers, along with cylinder delivery volume and frequencies
  • Update and evaluate metrics to assess performance and apply enhancements.
  • Ensures that each member receives ongoing training and resources needed to operate autonomously.
  • Sets the delegation of responsibility, task direction, performance objectives, and appraisals for all direct staff.
  • Monitors industry developments and reports ongoing trends.
  • Ensures that the Quality System, Transport Canada audits, and customer complaints are all addressed.
  • Ensure all operations adhere to transportation laws and guidelines
  • Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations

Here is what you will need

  • College Certificate or Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain, or combination of education and experience
  • 5 years of experience in transportation/logistics management
  • Experience in Transportation Dangerous Goods (TDG)
  • Understanding of Salesforce and Microsoft D365 is an asset
  • Experience of satellite scheduling/dispatching environment
  • Excellent computer literacy with Gmail, Google Applications and logistics software
  • Outstanding analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities
