Job title: CAD Technologist / Civil Engineering Technologist
Job description: We currently have an opening for a CAD Technologist / Civil Engineering Technologist in our Niagara-on-the-Lake office – and will collaborate with staff and deliver projects across Ontario and Canada. The successful candidate will have 1+ years of experience.

Responsibilities include the following:
- Preparation of project drawings using AutoCAD including structural drawings, related drawings, and details for structural projects, under the guidance of Professional Engineers and Designers.
- Performing occasional field work including site inspection and surveys.
- Preparing contract specifications.
- Delivering production work in accordance with company technical and operating procedures.
- Providing support with respect to a range of activities including both technical and non-technical tasks related to engineering design and construction.
- Engaging in a collaborative work environment with your team, as well as other disciplines and offices.
- Performing other duties as required by Supervisor.
- Delivering projects and tasks on budget and within identified schedules.
- Providing support to other members of the team.
- Complying and working within COR certified environment and performing all duties in accordance with those specified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act and applicable legislation.
Job Requirements
About You
- Minimum completion of diploma in Engineering Technology from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- 1+ year of progressive structural design experience in Ontario, considered an asset.
- Demonstrated experience with latest version of AutoCAD.
- Experience with Civil 3D and Microstation, is an asset.
- Familiarity with applicable local design codes, is an asset.
- Experience with technical specification development and report writing, is an asset.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of software.
- Experience working for a consulting engineering firm, is an asset.
- Developing analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Committed team player and ability to work independently.
- Ability to travel within Ontario.
