Weldco-Beales Manufacturing designs and manufactures specialized heavy equipment attachments for the construction, forestry, mining, scrap recycling, road maintenance and resource industries throughout Canada, the USA and internationally. This position will report to the Machine Shop Foreman.

Your primary responsibilities:
- Read and understand blueprints, study specifications, drawings to determine the required machining operations
- Reads and interprets work orders, set programs and operates CNC lathes and mills
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances, and prepare working sketches if necessary
- Ensures workmanship throughout the manufacturing process and on finished goods meets or exceeds the costs, quality and schedule expectations for all customers
- Check parts for defects, maintains and repairs equipment as required
- Safety conscious with full participation in the safety program and all safety requirements
Your qualifications:
- Completion of high school
- 5+ years related experience in the machining industry
- Specific experience in a heavy steel fabrication/machining/assembly environment is considered desirable
- MasterCam certification is an asset
- Performed in any heavy steel fabrication/machining/assembly environment
What you bring to the position:
- Strong skills and ability to demonstrate use of Mastercam (or other similar program) is an asset
- In-depth knowledge of all tools and equipment, their use and care
- Advanced knowledge of general safety practices
- Communication skills to read, write, listen, and speak in a clear & concise manner to individuals at various levels
- Interpersonal skills work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
- The ability to use your hands skillfully and quickly, measure sizes and distances accurately
- The ability to work independently at tasks that require concentration as well as physical effort
- Basic computer knowledge
- Time management skills to productively complete work in a logical manner and to meet all deadlines
- Organizational skills to plan out and coordinate his or her work in a logical manner
- Physically fit to lift items weighing up to 35 kg.
